pleading (Free verse) by francis nor capule
i wish i could have told you everything unsaid that i'd be there through rain or shine and be there , be there for you it was lame , using busy as an excuse. at one point in time, you asked me to be with you but everything else i prioritized , except you and funny , how i look back. i only plead that i had two of me... one to be with you, and another to finish all my tasks. now you are gone, forever free. i wish i was him, sometimes... but i could never be. for i am myself. in all my weakness and frailties. i am me, the wounded soul the perpetually busy man, with a heart as good as gold. that some people believe in, some people have faith in, funny i would trade all of them... for you. but i know when to rest , and i'm doing it now i have never learned giving up... my heart just needs to rest, and contemplate.
