The Stickmen of Fools (Free verse) by embersandenvelopes
Like signal bars above the heads,
words and phrases are listed instead
From minds who only contemplate a pixel of beige,
who pounce on adjectives, then suffocate.
A collection of quick letters is often revered
while complete processes must then be feared.
If an ear is cut off, then handed as truth,
the paint is declared faulty and products of youth.
The brush that is bloody is only bloody and brutal-
there's no integrity in man's crude tools.
But the gallery will be bright with the stickmen of Fools,
words repeating above heads, thinking they're cruel.

I like this idea of pouncing on something then the pouncer suffocating.
