my unicorn (Free verse) by francis nor capule
there she was , on the glen a creature as pure as pure can be white mane flowing ivory horn pointing up to the bluest sky i have often wondered what good i did for me to see such beauty to witness such a sight probably plain luck or chance, i guess so i try and get near to bathe in her light make her mine, mine indeed and just stay in this bliss forever but when i was near enough near enough to take the chance away she fled , without a glance and i was left , my soul in awe at the fleeing beauty my soul left empty it was like chasing rainbows building sand castles both are but dreams dreams that fade like mine did... the moment i lost her...
