Isolation (Free verse) by purplestain
Cold, dark and gloomy This is what the world means to me Why did happiness always forget to knock my door? Leave me lying motionless and emotionless on the floor Will there be someone to pick me up? Someone to guide me and show me the way? Or do I have to walk alone on the long stretch of highway? No where to go and no one to turn to Have I been blinded or have I been merely sheltered? The sun used to beam The rainbow always appears after the cold showers The butterflies always flutter around me On my comfortable bed of roses Why is there a dark cloud hanging over me now? Where is the warmth the sun always exudes? Where are my beautiful winged friends? Why has the roses browned and wilted?

Up the ladder: test
