Untitled (Free verse) by purplestain
You sliced my delicate heart in half Pouring drops of agony drips from my broken heart Why did you have to do this to me? Why did you have to hurt me so? You showed me so much hope You showed me that you cared You showed me that you loved You showed me that you were real I knew it would come to this I knew we weren't meant to be I knew I would lose you to someone else I knew I have to somehow let it go With the rest of my regrets Someday someone will mend my broken heart Someday someone will show me how to love again Someday I will learn Someday I will know why I wasn't meant for you But for now, I must slip away Goodbye my friend, I love you

Someday someone will show you how to write, hopefully before you try again..

This is touching but too personal - this is plainly written straight from the heart without any objectifying distance. We can feel the pain and sincerity but it doesn't really hang together as a poem. Brave though to expose yourself like this.
