Utility Rose (Free verse) by Enkidu
You can banter semantics or God And the sun will still rise An inspired mind will diminish us Certain as salesman and the lottery Coupling the governed in dependency What a life lost and locked to a bed Gambling on airplanes and automobiles That lovely girl with generic curls Flatter her with a utility rose Kindling for the feminine fire Proverbs aside direct your attention To infancy and traditional toil

Up the ladder: Audrey's poem
