that line refers to the clientele of the restaurant district where the riot took place. On second glance, without the background info, it could be a little confusing... Thanks for the input!

it's not up to me to explain the poem's meaning... find your own meaning in it... besides, haiku is supposed to evoke a scene

oh well done. expressive, well within the traditional 5-7-5 syllable structure of haiku, and evocative of the true nature of blah blah blah. is this a joke?
