Poor critter. I almost get the pity you feel here. I certainly see the lack of acceptance of personal responsibility. Basically boring angst.

Unkind to whom? You or the consumed? The two lines in the middle are an interesting mechanism of transition.

Sort of 'Why is the Sky Blue?' If you are doing this as a slam on mindless morons, it works.

I really like this. I can't why, not because I do not want to, but because I don't know.

I can't quite wrap around this one. Perhaps it is just such an repulsing thought. Riddled with disease and no longer graceful.

I see two very unhappy people commiserating each other, one of which only finds peace where there is space and distance around them... using duty as an excuse to get this. (I realize that what I see is probably not what you are saying. I know there are withins within withins and there are some who like to rub my nose in my lack of understanding... not saying that you are one of these... just that they do exist. This makes me a bit shy of exposing my ignorance.) Regardless of my understanding of this poem, I think it is very good. I look at 'material art' in the same way. I do not have to consciously understand brush-strokes and well bent lines to enjoy something. I appologise for my crude answer.

If you are going to post and know the rules, the chastisement and demand that someone not vote how they feel is in very bad taste. You may as well say, "Don't look at me unless you give me a ten." If the admonishment in the beginning is part of the poem, such as "I am now dead. Judge me, but do not send me to the lowest level of Hell!â I think it is good writing...otherwise not. Considering a personâs feelings is important, usually only to the person considered. A work is put here to be critted. As this is presented as a Eulogy and you are demanding special treatment for sympathy, I give you a cold-hearted 10.
