shadows of love (Free verse) by crwncka1

This secret inside of a riddle i pondered, as I sat there all alone, casting away seashells in the ocean, watching the ripple of the tide return in, as this day was now turning to dusk, I saw the most beautiful of sunsets, with soft rays of yellow, gold and orange. The day would eventually fade into darkness, as I now felt though the clear night sky, the fresh cool breeze in from the sea, with the sounds of ship horns in the distance, I stood there waiting in the sand, for my true love that was promised to be. As though the darkness I've been, where everything is broken and sad, and now I find myself here, as I see in the far distance, a light though this darkness of hate, that is being cast 'round and 'round, reflecting off of the ocean waters, from a lighthouse in the distance.

Or a lighter in the crowd.
