Best friends (Sonnet) by amanda_dcosta

She lost her doll and then began to weep Searched high and low but was not to be found With eager eyes he let her have his jeep To play with it and roll it on the ground. She wiped her tears, surprised and looked at him. What would she do had he not saved her day? He beamed at her with pride and widest grin Together now they both began to play. She soon forgot the reason she was sad Nor he think of this jeep as being just his They played their games, had fun and were so glad To spend time as two happy little kids. Through hurt and laughter, we see in the end None can compare to having a best friend.

Sounds like the mother of a good son or the memory of a child with a good brother
