I want to know what a lifes like.... (Free verse) by Damien

I want to know what a life’s like Where I’ve got memories to the left and love to the right Where I can walk forward barefooted and not be scared Or walk backwards blindly still knowing what’s there Where trying to kill myself is not a monthly bump Like jumping off a bridge hitting the bottom before I jump Or doing something right being nothing but a crime In my room on my own, the wire might not snap next time So I dream of a life where everybody smiles There is no such thing as inner pain or ‘trials’ Where I can fly without needing physical things As my mind does the work for the illusions it brings Where fortune and love are a monthly bump Like jumping off a bridge only getting a lump Or doing something right as its always the time With the only way to preach is to speak through a rhyme So when/ if I get there I will inform the earth That anyone can do anything after birth When I tell you what has happened to me Will you then please leave me alone cant you see? That I can’t handle this mere fame for fee Because when I get there if nobody has a smile I don’t care; it’s been worth my while

Good - not sure about the use of a / in the poem it leads to a question without the tell tale sign of a ? to signify such. However it still throughs some awesome shapes.
