"The king of Bunyoro-Kitara (in Uganda) has announced a £3.7 trillion claim against Britain to compensate his kingdom for the damage wrought by a five year colonial war in the 1890s. Lawyers have already been retained in both London and Uganda.
Solomon I is intent on avenging his grandfather, Kabalega II, nineteenth century ruler of Bunyoro. The king claims the British plundered the land, stole Kabelega's cattle and goats and were generally all-round bastards. The £3.7 trillion - or £4.63m for each of Bunyoro's 800,000 inhabitants - is just the initial demand. Solomon says that compensation for the land taken and the people murdered by the colonialists could be ten times that amount. The sums have been calculated by Yolamu Nsamba, the king's private secretary, who read economics at Hull University." - enough said
