Tainted World (Other) by DrinkYouAway
I crave pen script knowledge of a little boy
Short stumpy untied shoes make me trip
No meaning to the words that entitle us
To scream onto the ledge of the deck
Running across the floor littered with old photos
Black and off white pictures with lookalike princes
Our family album under my barefoot feet
Swing open the door, as I run away into the street
Shady business behind the windows of the neighbors
They surround how we live and live they do with drugs
Hugs punctured with needles, their smiles have changed
From perfectly beautiful unto beauty perfectly lost
Further to church on foot then car of a foe
A tied back ribbon brought here from her dreams
Jesus appointed each of us; a loyal person to go
My angel was corrupted I can still hear the screams
Stumbling in the dark upon this never ending road
Sharp turns lead to ended lives and soon recognized deaths
These eyes witnessed the worst of him the foe
Next time I shall stay home and skip this wrath
This blinding truth can burn holes in you
Stand up for your right to breathe this air
Look around before you step outside tomorrow
For no man knows truly what be waiting for him out there
