Price of an Affair (Free verse) by sonawrote
I thought there was a fairy tale
kind of love that existed
but somehow my life
got so fatefully twisted
so I fell in love with a humble man
and promised him my life
we made the plans and set the day
for me to be his wife
but that fairy tale love, I dreamt of for years
I'll remember your eyes, as I shed these tears
I'll remember your voice, and your beautiful face
I'll cherish my memories,as I recall your embrace
but some things in life...just aren't fair,
and it doesn't matter...how much you care
and cause I won't hurt ,that humble man
I deserve to hurt, for all that I am
cause I let my soul be free, & found the fairy tale in me
but not with mine, a humble man
so I deserve to hurt, for all that I am
cause it's still a fairy tale, as real as you are
and you'll never be more mine, than a wish on a star
you're a passionate lover,the eminence of desire
our spiritual dance, lights my soul on fire
but you're not mine, a humble man
so I deserve to hurt, for all that I am
