The Pedestal (Free verse) by Richard
I don’t even know your name, But that mystery only deepens my intrigue. I would like to say that I am content, Just to know that you exist. Life is full of sadness and empty of remorse, It gives and takes indiscriminately. But every so often it smiles upon us, And in that radiant glow, we are found fortunate. It is enough for me to bask in the light of your smile, And drown in the depths of your eyes.
