The Things I love and Elempty (Free verse) by New Life Drug
There are many things I don't know. At this moment I've collected what is for sure. Along the ride I'll find something new. I guess what I'll find can be thought of as a cure. I love the smell of pancakes and syrup I love my grandma I love sugar and cinnamon I love the smell of smoke This list will be added to soon This list along my life with continue Things I know I'll never let go. Certain feelings I've collected that are for sure. I wouldn't dare say I love you-no. Along the ride I'll find someone new. I guess what I'll find can be thought of as pure. Twenty years from now I can disconnect but these will stay the same and these things I will not forget that is why I could never be on your list, but that's okay. "Elempty" Down below in the elevator She looks again, but no one's there She knows he's dead, and we all fall in the silence And the words still linger in her mind away with stars into purple skies, beauty hails but only in the eyes of the cold will light appear Deep inside she's falling less he's already left and the dawn is breaking in... again... Deep inside we dont need to hear the rave us coming-astro's concious fear he's already in the room with dawn, the light is off again. No one is listening, the tables turned inside souls fallen, no stable forgotten cries Down in the seven avalanche, showers and waterfalls expell green rays of sound, insane for them to hold them all No one deciphers the terrestrial diamond No one unlock the diamond No one realms back to the darkness anymore... You've got to stay Yes you now will stay. (hey why do I say "stay" so much? does prophecy ring a bell?) All the buildings gone, rubble in the streets the rain's too lonely for her, so she keeps the diamond beside her feet. Laughing there's no one holding, holding on. One sound, he's tuning, stop for now be quiet as time ticks on. 9-9-01
