The Fire of My Mind (Free verse) by RubyDragonKnight
Deep down in the depths of my soul Hatred reigns, Burning like the eternal flames of Hell. Death is wanted, Needed, Yearned for. As I lie down to try to put my troubles to rest, I feel the fire in my eyes, Fueled by my emotions, Of Anger, Revenge, and Betrayal. How do I put these feelings aside? Do I act upon them? Do I try to forget them and lock them away in my mind? No. I should use them to their greatest potential. Feed from them the power of influence, Instead of the power of hurt.
