Come home (Free verse) by phbiscuit
I don't know when but a day is gonna come, When we save ourselves hundreds of years of dinner bills and bar tabs And stay home And we'll be happy Eating our bowl of rice and thinking Of the West Coast and all the times we've left without leaving. Still I know you've been gone far too long. Come home, and be happy We'l never leave this house again Come home, and be happy I'll lock the doors and let no one in Alone and by ourselves with the television off We'll still be watching reruns With every conversation passing By and by we'll come upon a silent song Sweet beyond the sweetest psalm Then we'll know the nature of The walls around us and the rug Sinking in between our toes. Listen and you will hear the room breath. Come home, and be happy We'll never leave this house again Come home, and be happy I'll lock the doors and let no one in
