Out of Line (Free verse) by dragonfly It's been but a few days
since darling welcomed my resting head in his lap
and already reality has pulled me back
How dare I wear this smile so arrogantly
I was out of line, but thank you
for putting me in my place
I don't know what came over me
What convinced me into believing
I was owed something a long time coming
