Consequences (Free verse) by devotedwonder
For love there is always a price, no matter the cost For me, a great friendship was lost For one night, the night I told you how I felt When I looked into your eyes, I began to melt But god dammit, I was there for you, through thick and thin And in my heart so bad I wanted love to begin You didn't feel the same, dammit you led me on And now that I need a friend, you're already gone Shit, I should have listened to my friends, I shouldn't have told you Because the consequences of telling you how I felt isn't worth what I'm going through So maybe that's it for me, maybe I won't give love a second glance god dammit, you didn't even give me and you a fuckin chance Before you went and found you someone better, someone who will "treat you good" But, you know I would treat you like a princess, I'd give you the world if I could Well, I wish you the best with your new love, I wish you the best of luck It just hurts to this day, knowing that you never really gave a fuck
