Disappearing (Free verse) by indiechic656
The mirror gleams, reflecting my young face; One solitary tear courses its way down my already damp cheek, and drops into a growing pool between my crossed legs. I close my eyes, and let the fantasy envelope me Straw blond hair, clear blue eyes, and skin like a porcelain doll. I know this girl so well, she may as well exist. With a flash, I awaken, take one longing glance into the glass. She is not there, my fantasy self, only a dream. Shards of glass surround me, as I, still clutching the plastic handle, try, with all my might, to disappear.
