Dancing against the rain (Free verse) by Corey McHattan
Glimpsed, one day, through rain-flecked glass and grey Past metal boxes sliding lonely onward- Alone. Still. Untroubled by the noise, The wait, the endless grinding wet a figure like first lust lost (dawn's new shame) the pain that will not go away I caught myself, but then the bus lurched left she turned and I thought I saw her eyes. They were pale blue, and sparkling, as they danced against the rain.
