Next To Me (Free verse) by casey
I have to thank my friends, For all the odds and ends, And making me see, Even when I disagree, Things that are all too true, What I hid from view, Even though many have hinted, I still see the world through glasses tinted, None I believe, I think they decieve, Until my friends show it to me, It's than that I see. What they said, Makes me stop dead, It registers in my mind, And has gotten me out of a bind, I realized that what they say is true, And what I have to live up too, No matter where I ran, Or if I hid in a garbage can, Or who I cried too, What they say would still be true, My desicions I make, Some are a piece of cake, But if I ever needed their support, Or if I was falling short, Here they would be, Right next to me, Things have happened before, And again once more: In them I could trust, This is why I love them so much.
