Secrets (Free verse) by joydoll
I told you all my secrets
And showed you the places
That no oneâs ever seen.
I didnât do it lightly,
It was done in love and trust.
But now that trust
And love has gone,
It doesnât give you licence,
To share my secrets with someone else.
I donât give you permission
To advertise the things I said
And shared with you.
Those things were exclusive,
Unknown, brand new.
Now they seem like second hand,
Used, abused, of no value to you.
I canât unsay those words,
Unshare those thoughts,
However much I wish.
But I can start over,
Cause since then Iâve aquired
New secrets, new words,
That wonât be shared with you.
