CHAMELEON (Free verse) by Jeremi B. Handrinos
Green on green Her personality's obscene Although granted Her ways are keen and wonderfully hidden from my view but always present and right on cue Acquaintances many When friends are a few. Living floor flowing Perception is bowing I must keep going. Her face has no focus My hand is pointing My elbow sagging My pet wolf's tail is wagging Thor rests his hammer No more backyard cantrips No more massive rabbit slaughters Every color within each other No more brother or a mother My tiny tight gloves are testing the dirt In my hinderance I stoke the hurt Give me back my will Or I'll take you to the fucking cleaners.
