The Days Are Dying (Free verse) by anitawit
(16.12.86) In listless whispers blow the days Their greens are jaded, their blues are gray The sun is stale and burnt 'round the edges Creation is sunk into a mire Of swampy inconsequentiality The days are dying... I fished my man out of this pallid pond -- He was the only fish alive Now, we're both rotting in the sun.
