a playful rain (Free verse) by moonhound22
a playful rain, dancing atop the earth's green carpet, sings a melody of a freedom once known, once prized, by a child's eyes; of a radiance since faded to the weight of another sleepless dawn, the colors bleeding, until a murky gray smothers the view. a playful rain skips along, through a void now filled by obligations, worries, and fear. a playful rain makes me shiver with contempt.
