Deconstructing the american dream (Free verse) by Nice guy
No. I will not. It does not suit my blood or my bloodlines, any longer. For centuries you have demanded fatigue, while you grin in your faux skin. "You made the choice" Then I will un-choose, and herald your collapse! Your trinkets can never, will never, have never sheltered me, myself or I. Fighting, while backed into a corner, has proven a lesson in futility. Now, I will walk away in silence, leaving my message of absence.
