When I drew a line around what was mine the way you had always done when we were kids-- like when we'd fight over the joystick and play space invaders up past our bedtime with no understanding of the miasma of metaphors we were winding, binding, hiding in our seething ids-- and you, you never would let me win. Once I drew that line, I didn't want any of it, only you.
