A girl I donât know
Told me she had my friendâs book.
âHail Erisâ she said.
âI doubt that was me,â
âI wasnât thereâ, I replied.
âYes you were, â she said.
âI remember you,
trench-coated, your hair in buns.
Late, one august night.â
âYou were at the bar
Golden apple raised, preaching.
Your friend gave me thisâ
The Principia,
âYour friend Marcusâ lent to her.
Proof that it happened.
I donât go to bars
Apple-less, I know no Mark.
But I do sleepwalkâ¦
