Miracle (Other) by Enki
The miracle of birth, I hear. A time for joyous celebration. But all around me that I see, is overpopulation. How selfish I must be, they say. Forget your life, you have to breed. But I don't think we really need, another mouth to feed. The miracle of birth, I read. Another child is born this day. For such a miracle as this, the world will have to pay.
