The Forest Child (Free verse) by forestchild7
she lays there,
flat on her back,
with only the clouds to contend with;
they wink at her,
and let her gaze flow from blue to white;
as the sun blazes in the sky,
the world seems to stop,
and she just relaxes with no cares in the world;
some things are not known,
but to her everything is worth knowing;
the knowledge of a lifetime resides in her,
and all she does is lay there,
letting the soft breeze lull to her to sleep;
when she wakes up,
it is dark outside,
but she does not worry;
she gets up,
greets the moon,
and goes back to her home;
as the stars shine and glitter,
she knows tomorrow will be a good day...
