Found Lost (Free verse) by Carvaceous
Thrown to the end of the world,
so it seems
Far away from this place you stand
Tears fall, calling your name
Knowing I've found myself to late
Coming to terms, I understand my place
Too far away I can't rejoice.
My wants don't matter.
I've been taken away
I stand here, more than ever
wanting to feel your warm embrace
Your arms around, encircling me,
As I struggle here shivering with uncertainty
I try to chase the fear away on my own
Now too late I feel a subtle kiss upon
my cheek.
Destined to stay,
My hand numbs
Searching for your hand, wishing it to be
intertwined with mine.
Remembering moments I lost myself
In a second, being with you
The wind howls blowing through this
empty place.
As blackened trees sway in monotone
My sanity lies in the lightness of dreams
Laying my head upon your shoulder
Your heart beating to mine.
Bringing myself to reality, leaving the daze
look behind
Remembering wishes don't come true,
even on the stars.
