In a Moments Notice (Lyric) by livingcanvas
my head is clouded and obstructed from truth, my heart is empty, my life full of pride, on the outside i look to be full of joy, but i'm dying on the inside. he waited for me, through thick and through thin, where were my "friends" through my pain? i would beat the door down, and allow him to enter, but in a matter of time, i locked myself in solitude again. night has fallen, he's all alone, most sleep, i don't even stay, in comes another, one that i once called brother, with a kiss, my chances of help are taken away. he stands before us in judgement, pocketing money, we hand him over again. i sold out this time, but tomorrow i'll be back on my knees, i wonder is it worth it to play this game? he carries the world upon his weakened shoulders, but the pain is not too much to bare, the need is heavy, for more to follow, he climbs the road, help him not, i merely stare. i feel his pain, i know he bleeds, i turn away, but i hear his cries. i do not accept responsibility for this, i see the nails, i hold the hammer, he dies. i look up to the darkness, where just minutes ago was a beautiful view. suddenly his words return, as if his presence close also, "peace be unto you." these words make me shutter, his presence makes me cry, how could i hurt a love like this, how could i cause him to die. i look back upon the path i had taken, the road home i'll never find, i ask for guidence, and forgiveness, and begin my journey when i turn around, he is right back by my side.
