Homemade Greetings (Free verse) by jessicazee
I am cutting faces from magazines. A model's eye The ear of a victim Two lips from a known liar. Gluesticking features to blank notecards. Captains of soccer teams can send Dada greetings to their fresh cousins. Why make cards except to boost One's own boastfulness, An oaf no more, but never an artist. Teabag stencils and pressed pansies A mark of spit and fingerprint From my post to your whacked-down box.
