forever looking (in) (Free verse) by muted_screams
I read his words, about her, and I'm left aching. Not because I want to be her, by any means (or him, for that matter) but because I want to be them. It isn't that I want to be inside of the instance that they speak off -- when they look at each other, I want it to be the mirror of their souls (and obviously it is.) No, it isn't that I'm jealous of their union, I'm envious of his emotions. I wonder if I'll have to be 5'6" and blonde; 130 pounds and a uber feminine before someone would take notice (like he has, with her.) I wonder if I would have to have green eyes and a valley girl giggle before someone would drown in me. If so, then I guess I'm going to remain on the outside of this, guess I'll forever be looking in,... 'Cause I am far too tall, and my eyes are far too blue.
