Faded Passion (Free verse) by Dariana
The love dies slowly like a fading fire,
promises of passion now unkept,
hearts shattered by tense moments,
intimacy swept under the rug
like broken fragments of glass.
Illusions of desire once felt,
stolen away by the dying flames.
Intimate moments once shared,
gone like the rush of the wind.
The night comes with dread;
no longer our time to yearn,
to touch, to feel.
to fall deep into emotion.
Adrift, we fall away,
from the power of love,
Apart, we hold onto memories,
of what once we shared.
