Broken Heart (Ode) by Luul A
Breath colder than a winter's day Heart darker when you're away Even when love sets in motion Sorrow is deeper than the ocean Tears streaming down my face Faster than a lion chasing his prey Watching you lay lifeless on the cold ground Feels like a lost pain that has been found It's making me loose my mind Its a feeling thats not so kind Sirens screaming, tires screeching Mothers crying, teachers preaching Victims dying, siblings sighing All kinds of sounds ringing in my head It was something that has been said I let you step out of the house so you could experience life Didn't they know you had a son waitng for you at home as well as a wife I thought you would come back soon Until the time went by from morning to noon But a world of cruelity and violence was where I forgot we lived in Didn't they know killing is a sin? I cried my heart out knowing you were gone Did they think that losing you was a game that they had won? You were my baby and my most valued possesion Couldn't they see what they created was a family who would forever live in depression You belonged to me and you were to stay with me Didn't they see that we were meant to be? But somewhere from outside came the vicious monster and stole your life away My body became tense and my heart grew weak everyday You were the innocent you didn't have to die The pain was severe and the only thing I could do was cry Even though things would no longer be the same Now I know that your time came Just remember that there were people who still loved you And no matter where you are would still remember you
