Disposal and Liberation (Free verse) by MacFrantic
I jumped from the top of the Empire State Building
The month was August
The sun was setting
How cliché
A bit more than a quarter mile
And as I fell
The wind pulled dreams from my head.
Memories exploded upwards from my chest
As my words faded with them
I stood at the top of the Empire State Building
The month was August
The sun was rising
How cliché
A bit more than a quarter mile
Looking down
I saw my twisted and empty body
Little changed of me as I occupied myself
And nothing else
