temple (Other) by lexicon
Sands of hell scorch my feet and I tread quickly to the redeeming waters. Carefully spreading a towel I first kneel then sit, faceless to the ocean and confess my soul. The waves talk back at me; A sound response from God. Shedding my clothes like my sins I step through the damp to test the waters, running knees-high then diving under the first churning wave, cleansed and refreshed. Paddling out past the breakers I get knocked back but between sets there is calm. I reach my destination and there I wait beyond the white-wash. Ever searching and waiting and readying for whatever is out there, riding the high and low of each swell till my own comes for me to carry me to shore.
