The Enigmatic Pentagram (Prose Poem) by ObsequiousGem
Take in your breath now and hold it there
Behold your own mysterious soul of the exquisite
Here is where it lies, now, so take your share
Twice as shy is only once after you've first been bit
Bow not in worship before the grand alter of your own God
Drink from the cup of silver laced in your own seed
Hold with you your own thunder staff or lightening rod
Allow it to drain and refill you as you continue to bleed
Lost hope is now yours to recollect and regain
As it has been shattered and spread upon the Earth
Pick up all the pieces once more, each tiny grain
Forget not the cycle you've invoked, your own rebirth
Walk proud among the insane with the strength of sanity
Drudge forth to be witnessed and eternally recognized
Some of the members of such a world call you Lost Vanity
You are the author of your land's own Holy Book unrevised.
Vibrations shatter the strength of the fragile life you've now made
Creations are destroyed when Twilights curtain falls upon each of them
Memories crumble, collapsing in death, as their frozen ashes begin to
fade
A mind begins to erase all it has when it fails to compose its own
requiem.
