Oh Well (Free verse) by RWAndersen
This rhyme is for my brother,
Cuz we love and hate each other.
Oh well, what the hell,
This ain't all I've got to tell.
Short time apart we started life,
And then we both divorced a wife.
Oh well, play with Dames,
Bend the rules, go down in flames.
At first twas trikes, bikes then cars,
Our lives became a bunch of scars.
Oh well, there were fights,
If I'd go left, he'd go right
Use to love to go real fast,
The odds were good that we might crash.
Oh well, live and learn,
Resulting gray Mom's concern.
Folks said kids don't want no sheep,
They kicked our butts so we'd compete.
Oh well, really sad,
One went to work, one turned bad.
Both can say we are fathers,
Must admit at times they're bothers.
Oh well, live to tell,
Younger ones bout when you fell.
One burns on, one's lights gone out,
Mad and alone, one shrugs and shouts,
Oh well, screwed his chance
Blew it off as circumstance.
