Til' Dawn (Free verse) by Dreammaker1024
The dark midnight sky is clearing into a new day, and I think back on how I left you early this morning. In bed, layed out and peaceful like a child. I didn't want to loosen myself from your embrace, but duty called. Never have I felt the way I felt when I was leaving you behind to dream of our plans. All I could feel was such utter love for the man I had learned to share my bed with at every given chance we were able to spend in each others arms, dreaming together. I count down the hours, the minutes, the seconds, til' I'll be able to be back in your protection. The night prior to us falling in ourselves was the beginning of a beautiful relationship, with happiness, sorrow and joy to be expected. Even with the sorrow from that night, I can only look back on it with happiness at the step we took in the musical dark. At this moment I can smell your very essance surrounding me, and I feel incomplete. Soon though, when the sun hits full rise, I'll be with you, and think back on how much I missed you.
