Guinness (Free verse) by Dovina
His friends walk out at midnight from Dargan’s Pub and Ale House. He thinks about driving home, then orders another brew.   “I’m a good guy with a few habits,” he says, and slapping his Guinness on the bar, “I work hard and like a good time.”   As we share a final beer, he refuses to blame a woman, does not even accuse the help. What a good sport he is. I give him style points for honesty.   He’s a good man to talk to, goes down like a pina colada, smooth and sweet.
