Empty Street (Free verse) by gianni
I walk along this deserted street, Trying hard not to scuff my feet. But to pick them up, and take each step carefully. Because each step will solve another mystery. Every step I take across the bridge of time, Brings me one step closer to the gate where I may find, Find friends and family lost long ago, Loved ones that I cared for so. Beyond the gates I shall be in peace, I will meet you there, and all wars will cease.
