Breakfast in Bed (Free verse) by brazen
Morning airs clear the table, Your smile breakfast for my eyes, Almost everything was over easy, But recently our shit is scrambled, And I find you hard to swallow. As days go on, And weeks pass by, Its been easier to say goodbye, Grown strong alone, With peace of mind, My hunger filled from time to time, By the secret stash you left behind, Where now the only thing I fear, Is waking the fire on the range, And sitting for a real meal.
