A Mothers Heart (Free verse) by TAMARAG67
My precious little ones-how I truly adore you. There you are , so engrossed in your own limited existance and I am longing for you to stay as innocent as you are now-as innocent as I once was. The feel of your cheek against mine and the warm baby softness of you overwhelm my senses. Love washes over me like virgin ocean waves crashing on sandy beaches at the dawn of time. You are perfection. Bliss. I know in time I shall have to loosen the arms I hold tightly around you-resistance is futile- but, until that time I will savor each caress, each smile, each laugh and file them away to memory, in a place only a mother knows.
