"Joseph, Joseph" (Free verse) by joe-joe
“Joseph, Joseph” that whispering voice I hear faintly in echoes as he implores And follow I may as matter of choice Those fancies instead I blindly do score. “Joseph, Joseph” He utters as I rest Between sweet dreams and incubus Sounds crossing cold waters to test Begging for my unmoving trust. “Joseph, Joseph” he doth gently beseech In my time of desperate need This time He hath laid for Him to teach But Joseph oh Joseph I still do not heed.

Up the ladder: She wishes
Down the ladder: aggression

I like it not. There was no discernible meaning or humour.

Second stanza was great, but like a good burger it's trapped between bad buns.

Horus,

I agree. The buns are not totally bad but there certainly is quite a bit of room for improvement. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
