Bare Feet, Bear Feet, a Bare Feat, and a Bear Feat (Free verse) by Enkidu
A colder night than this has failed to reach my feet so I ponder only daybreak for a breath Running from those pilose paws Eager Bearly Stuttering Shivering things darting through me I walk this line au naturel A stark and buck venture Day Having run out my time now life lies Gasping in the frozen dawn Truly a sight to behold Juggling Bear and all On a unicyle Save me

Up the ladder: Staring through you
Down the ladder: My brain’s dialogue

Funny! Then, a somber thought. Nicely done!
