Tribute To Edgar Allen Poe (Free verse) by Fear of Garbage
The bigger the better? The bigger the better! There are lanterns everywhere. We are not aloud to eat. It seems Like it’s light, light, light, everyday! Meet me at the pagoda after dusk. We go barefoot and eat rust. Everyday, everyday the lanterns burn. I’m aloud to eat? I’ll shove it down. Today I’ll kill the Conquering Worm!

Up the ladder: Love Bruises
Down the ladder: the comet

I don't get it.

Besides that, "aloud -> allowed".

I've read some of Poe, not all. Wish I knew what you are referring to.
